Welcome to Countryside Nursery!!!  Countryside Nursery is a small backyard nursery located in rural Charlotte, Michigan, where we work hard to produce quality, beautiful perennial plants; and make them available to you at inexpensive prices. We propagate and grow most everything we sell.

Spring has arrived! We have approximately 50 varieties of perennial plants to choose from and continue to add new plants each year. We have acquired some beautiful new plants from other backyard growers and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. If you are in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio or Wisconsin, you can order your plants online, but if you are local, I hope you will stop by the nursery to see the plants in all their glory. We love to visit with new and returning customers.

I am also looking forward to getting to know many of you through our newsletter. This is a bi-monthly, FREE, newsletter sent to you via the USPS mail or via email. To get your copy in the mail, please go to the Newsletter section and fill out the form and you will receive your copy in the mail in 2-3 days. If you prefer to get your copy via email, then be sure to sign up right here using the sign up box to the right and a copy will be sent to you lickity split. When you sign up to get your newsletter via the email, you will also receive a $5 coupon good at the nursery anytime between May 6 and Oct. 15, 2013.

So now, grab a cup of coffee or your favorite adult beverage, sit back and enjoy the scenery.  As you look through our online catalog you will find an assortment of beautiful perennial flowers and shrubs to make your yard a showplace.  Our goal here at Countryside Nursery is to provide you with great plants at very reasonable prices.  I propagate and grow most everything onsite and it is so exciting to "make babies", (baby plants that is), and I just can't explain the feeling you get when you pull up those little plants and see the massive root system on them and know that you had a part in making that happen.

Another important part of our nursery is we recycle and re-use as much as we can. I will gladly take your used, empty pots, so bring them by when you come to visit. We also compost as much as we can to make our own soil and we try to buy our supplies, such as mulch and potting soil from local merchants.  By doing these things, it helps to keep our cost down and we pass that savings onto you.  We are not here to double or triple the price of our plants, there are enough businesses out there doing that. The majority of our plants are 1-3 years old and 8"-10" high when you buy them and the best part, they are only $4.97.  We do have smaller and larger plants with a range of prices, so come on by and have a looksee.

Now go ahead, take a peak at our catalog and see what you think. As the weather warms and things start to come alive I will add plants and photos, so come back often and see what is new.

Check out our "Crafts For Sale" page for some cool gift ideas.

Thanks for stopping by and I look forward to bringing some beauty to your yard.

Kindest regards, Natalie cool
